|| National Service Scheme

NSS was launched on 24th September 1969 in 37 universities covering all states. NSS unit was commenced at our College in 1996-97 with the aim of personality development of the students and faculty through community service. The NSS unit of our College consists of 186 Volunteers, two Programme Officers and two NSS representative leaders from the students.

Mrs. Sadiqua A. Shaikh and Dr. Omkar S. Kotiwar are working as Programme Officer in the NSS unit. Every year the NSS unit of our College organizes orientation programme for newly enrolled students in NSS, Tree Plantation Programme, Blood Donation Camp, Cleaning Programme, Awareness Programmes, Celebration of days, Guest lectures, disaster management programme,energy conservation project,book making project etc. in which NSS volunteers successfully participate in these activities. The College NSS unit also arrange 7 days residential camp for the NSS volunteers. 50% of the enrolled volunteers participate in this camp.

The camp is arranged 15-20 kms away from the College campus. The work is done according to the needs of the community like total sanitation, road repair and construction, water harvesting and conservation, drainage pits, environment health and conservation etc. The volunteers also participate in various college level and intercollege level activities they also participate in university levelleadership training camp, state level camp and district level camp.
